As scheduled, Lenovo today has launched its new CyanogenOS powered new Lenovo Zuk Z1 smartphone in India priced at Rs. 13,499/- Announced back last year, the new Z1 sports a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 100% NTSC color gamut. It is a Dual SIM phone running on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Andriod 5.1.1 Lollipop. Lenovo promises to upgrade the device very soon to Cyanogen OS 13 which will be based on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The phone comes with Fingerprint sensor (FPC 1155) offering extra security. Lenovo Z1 is powered with 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor coupled up with 3GB LPPDR3 RAM and Adreno 330 GPU making the phone quite powerful for faster performance and smoother multitasking. We don’t even need to worry much for the storage because it carries internal 64GB (eMMC 5.0) memory. In terms of connectivity the phone supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / GLONASS and USB 3.0 Type-C.
In the camera department, Lenovo Z1 carries a 13 Megapixel rear shooter with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 Exmor RS sensor, OIS, 1.12um pixels, and f/2.2 aperture. You just can’t doubt about the image quality with this camera. There is also an 8 Megapixel front facing camera with OmniVision OV8865 sensor and 1.12um pixel size for Selfie lovers. The device is packed with 4100mAh built-in battery with fast charging support.
