Flipkart launched its first ever smartphone named “Billion Capture+” which comes with mid ranged specifications but with Dual Camera setup priced at Rs. 10999. Packed inside metal body, it is a ‘Made For India’ smartphone that is engineered, manufactured, designed and tested in India itself. Talking about the specifications, the Billion Capture+ comes with Dual SIM support with Hybrid Slots and is running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS. Flipkart has confirmed to upgrade the same to Android 8.0 Oreo very soon.
The phone features a Fingerprint sensor for better security of the device. It sports a 5.5 inch IPS 2.5D display offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is protected by Dragontrail glass for longer durability. Flipkart has powered up the Billion Capture+ with 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile Platform teamed up with Adreno 506 GPU offering faster performance. As per RAM and storage, we get two variants of the phone, i.e. 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. Both variants can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
The Billion Capture+ also seems very good in photography section with its Dual Rear cameras. It has a 13 Megapixel (RGB) + 13 Megapixel (Monochrome) rear cameras with Dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12micron pixel size and PDAF. For Selfie fans, the phone carries an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12micron pixel size.
As per connectivity the phone supports 4G VoLTE along with other standard connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. Flipkart has backed up the phone with 3,500mAh battery having Quick Charge support that claims to offer up to 2 days of battery backup in single charge. The phone comes with USB Type-C charger boosting the battery for up to 7 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
