Archos has launched two new mid-range smartphones named Archos 55 Graphite and Archos 50 Graphite. There’s not much difference in both except screen size, RAM and battery. Talking about 55 Graphite, it is packed in aluminum unibody design and comes out of the box running Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Dual SIM support. The phone sports a 5.5 inch 2.5D curved glass HD display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. We also get a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear which is responsive enough to unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds.
Archos has powered 55 Graphite with 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM which sounds enough for better performance. There’s 16GB onboard storage memory which can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD card.
Now the most interesting part of the device is its Dual camera setup in the price range of $135 approximately. 55 Graphite brings us a 13 Megapixel camera with LED flash and Samsung sensor at rear facing along with 2 Megapixel secondary camera that captures ultra-wide angle and shallow Bokeh shots. Along with that we also get a 5 Megapixel Selfie shooter on the front facing. As per connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0 and USB OTG. Archos has backed up the phone with 3000mAh battery.
