Today at the scheduled launch event, Meizu launched the new ‘Meizu m3s’, it is the successor of Meizu M3 which was launched a couple of months ago. The phone starts at the price of 699 yuan, i.e. $105 or Rs. 7,100 for 2GB RAM variant, while the 3GB RAM variant costs 899 yuan, i.e. $135 or Rs. 9,150 approximately. Yes, the phone comes in two variants as per RAM and Storage.
Although being successor, there doesn’t seems much changes in the phone. The only upgrade done is adding a Fingerprint Sensor and a bigger capacity battery. Meizu m3s features the same 5 inch HD 2.5D curved glass display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and comes out of the box running Android 5.1 Lollipop with FlyMe OS 5.1 on top of it. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM allowing you to use MicroSD card also in second slot. It also has the mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button offering additional security to the phone as well as data stored on the same.
Meizu has powered the M3s with the same processing unit and RAM as we saw earlier in M3. It is Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor paired up with Mali T860 GPU. And as said, the phone comes in two variants, that is 2GB LPDDR3 RAM with 16GB (eMMC 5.0) storage memory and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB (eMMC 5.0) storage memory. Both variants supports up to 128GB microSD card.
As per photography, Meizu M3s comes with 13 Megapixel rear camera having dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. There is also a 5 Megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens allowing you to capture amazing Selfies. It is a 4G VoLTE smartphone also supporting 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS / GLONASS. Meizu has powered the successor with 3020mAh battery.
