After DND App, TRAI has launched yet another very useful app for Android devices called ‘MySpeed’. It is a Internet speed testing application that gives you detailed information of the internet connection, whether it is connected on WiFi or Cellular network. It captures and sends coverage, data speed and other network information along with device and location of the tests.
It is very similar to all other speed test apps but a little better. The only problem with MySpeed is it sends data to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) which is also mentioned officially on PlayStore download page. Also, i don’t understand why does this app requires permission to access our photos and media stored on the phone if it is only Speed testing app.
