Jio has launched a new phone in its F series called ‘LYF F8’ with entry level specs but with 4G VoLTE priced at just Rs. 4,199/- The phone seems very similar to earlier launched Flame 8 in terms of specs. Coming out of the box running Android 6.0 Marshmallow it supports Dual SIM connectivity and features a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display offering 854 x 480 pixels resolution.
Reliance Jio has powered the LYF F8 with 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor accompanied by Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM from which you can expect doable performance. As per storage, we get just an 8GB internal memory but this can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
Under camera section, the phone carries an 8 Megapixel primary camera with Auto and LED Flash at the back while on the front facing we get a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It also has a FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack for always on music. Coming to connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE along with other standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone is running on 2000mAh battery.
